Behind Ritornatura is a small, trusted team who support our guests before and during their stay. With experience living and working between Asia and Italy, our caretakers understand cultural nuances, communication styles, and what it means to feel comfortable when travelling far from home. Their role is simple, to offer thoughtful support when needed, while respecting each guest’s privacy and independence.
Salvatore Carecci
Founder, Ritornatura
With over 40 years of experience in the food and hospitality industry across Singapore and China, Salvatore brings a deep understanding of Asian culture and expectations to Ritornatura.
Having lived in Singapore for more than four decades and raising a family that blends Italian and Asian heritage, he naturally bridges cultures and communication styles. Italian by origin and shaped by years of travel, he understands what it takes for guests to feel comfortable, welcomed, and at ease when far from home.
Today, Salvatore moves between Asia and Italy and is the main person behind Ritornatura, offering guests thoughtful support, local insight, and a calm, familiar presence throughout their stay.
Giammario Romano
General Manager & Operations
Giammario has worked across Europe and Asia in the food and hospitality industry, with experience in Switzerland, Italy including Ostuni and more than 10 years in China. His background spans restaurants, hotels, and independent hospitality projects, from working as a chef to managing and operating his own restaurant.
Through years of working between Asian and European cultures, Giammario has developed a strong understanding of different expectations, service styles, and ways of living. His approach to hospitality is thoughtful and grounded, shaped by the belief that food and service go beyond surface experience and play a deeper role in well-being.
Today, Giammario oversees day-to-day operations at Ritornatura, ensuring that each stay runs smoothly, comfortably, and with care. Supporting guests quietly, attentively, and with respect for their independence.
Vittorio Wei Long Carecci
Digital & Systems Lead
Based between Singapore and Italy, Vittorio supports Ritornatura behind the scenes, overseeing the website, hotel management systems, and digital materials that help each stay run smoothly.
Singaporean with Italian roots, and raised between cultures, he understands both Asian and European expectations. Bringing a thoughtful, structured approach to design, technology, and communication. His role focuses on ensuring clarity, consistency, and ease across guest touchpoints, from planning to arrival.
Working closely with the founding team, Vittorio helps translate Ritornatura’s philosophy into its digital presence, quietly supporting the guest experience through systems, design, and careful attention to detail.
